He joined the Bergen church 27 March 1674. He bought Lot No. 2 at Slooterdam on which some of his descendants still reside. He conveyed the north half of this lot to his son, Peter Helmer Van Houten on 27 Oct. 1711.

Hellemeg (Helmigh, now generally written Halmagh), bap. June 25, 1648. He joined the Bergen church, March 27, 1674; m. Jannetje Pieterse, from Gelderland, Oct. 2, 1676. By deed dated Nov. 2, 1696, he bought Lot No. 2, at Slooterdam, on which some of his descendants still reside. He conveyed the north half of this lot to his son, Peter Helmer Van Houten, Oct 27, 1711. He d., probably at Slooterdam, Oct. 7, 1729. His wife was received into the Bergen church, June 25, 1677. He was known as Hellemig Roelofse.
