Mrs. Dexter Aloysius Thusius

Speaking their vows in Calvary Lutheran University Chapel Saturday afternoon, Miss Patricia Mae Manley and Lt. Dexter Aloysius Thusius were united in marriage before the Rev. Oscar Thusius, the bridegroom’s uncle.
A reception for 150 guests at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon S. Manley, Marshall, followed the 2 p.m. rite. The couple left afterwards for their home in Williamsburg, Va.
Informally attired in a white shantung suit with a veiled white velvet hat, the bride carried a white orchid on a white Bible. As her sister’s maid of honor, Miss Marjorie Manley, wore an ice blue linen suit with a matching velvet hat. She carried white carnations and pale blue pompons.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry G. Thusius, Watertown, chose his college roommate, Jack Bartingale, Eau Claire, as best man. LaVerne Milunovich, Watertown, and Michael Manley, the bride’s brother, ushered.
Reception assistants were Misses Joan Younglove, Leila Schmidt and Marilyn Johnson and Mmes. Conrad Young, Russell Kendall, P.C. Phillips, Howard Hoffman, Herbert Siegert, and A.D. Clark.
For traveling the bride changed into a white and brown linen print frock with a brown shrug jacket. Her accessories were white. For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Manley chose a green print with a white linen jacket and white accessories. The bridegroom’s mother wore aqua with white and both had corsages of pink glamellias.
The new Mrs. Thusius received her bachelor’s degree in English education at the University last month. Her husband, a member of Alpha Delta Sigma, was graduated in February with a degree in commerce. He is now stationed with the Army transportation corps at Ft. Eustis.
