Guy A. Crab, 91, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at University Nursing Center. He was born September 6, 1926 in Evansville to the late John L. and Tylene (Baker) Crab. He attended Delaware School and Central High School where he graduated in 1947. He was a World War II veteran of the US Army Air Corp. Guy was an Evansville Firefighter from 1960-1984, and was a member of Methodist Temple and Lessing Masonic Lodge 464 for 50 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved his beagles. Guy was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Dorothy H. (Tormohlen) Crab; brother, John B. Crabb; sister, Cynthia Woods; brother, Robert Crab (Shirley), and infant brother, Charles Ray Crab. He is survived by his wife, Mable Crab; sons, Alan Crab (Connie) and Wayne Crab; grandsons, Jason (Sarah) and Joshua (Marissa); great-grandchildren, Logan, Emersen, Lauren and Colton; sister, Nancy Crowley and sister-in-law, Mary Crabb. The family would like to offer a special thanks to all who provided care for Guy at University Nursing and Rehab and the hospital. A Funeral Service will be 10:00AM, Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Rev. Andy Payton, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit 3:00 to 7:00PM, Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the funeral home.
