Daily Herald (Arlington Heights, IL) - April 15, 2003 Services for Marie C. Friese, 104, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive St., Arlington Heights, where she will lie in state from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services. Born July 6, 1898, in Namburg, Germany, the daughter of Christian and Clara Hertz. Marie immigrated from Germany in 1924. She passed away Monday, April 14, 2003, at The Lutheran Home & Services. Interment will be in the St. Peter's Cemetery, Arlington Heights. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Friese, whom she married April 17, 1926; dear sister of Else Grummet and the late Dora; and friend of Rudy Greinke and many others. Marie was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today, at the Lutheran Home for the Aged, 800 W. Oakton St., Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lutheran Home, 800 W. Oakton St., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.

Arlington Heights Post (IL) - April 17, 2003 Funeral services for Marie C. Friese (nee Hertz), 104, of Arlington Heights were held April 16 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Born July 6, 1898, in Namburg, Germany, she died April 14 at The Lutheran Home & Services.
Mrs. Friese emigrated from Germany in 1924. She is survived by a sister, Else Grummet; her friend, Rudy Greinke; and many others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, whom she married April 17, 1926; her parents, Christian and Clara Hertz; and a sister, Dora.
Interment was in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Arlington Heights. Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Home, 800 W. Oakton St., Arlington Heights IL 60004.
