Services for Paul A. Wheeler will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive Street, Arlington Heights. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Friday, at the church. Born Oct. 27, 1921, in Holder, Ill., to Lester and Lulu (nee Mullins) Wheeler, he died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006, at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview. Mr. Wheeler is survived by his wife, Ruth (nee Hoeft), whom he married on Feb. 11, 1950, in Arlington Heights; children, Gary (Annette) Wheeler of North Pole, Alaska and Lynne (Kenneth) Kronvold of Chino Valley, Ariz.; grandchildren, Todd, Erin, John, Mark, Joshua, and Kari; and his siblings, LaVerne Sutter, Lucille Broderick, Ila Granacher, Charlene (Harry) Miller and Wayne Wheeler. He was preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers and one sister. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church Radio Broadcast Fund, 111 W. Olive Street, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
