LAURINBURG - Mr. Carl Walter Geffert, 63, professor, died July 20, 1989, at N.C. Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill. Funeral is at 5 p.m. Sunday at Lutheran Church of the Living Word. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight at McDougald Funeral Home.
Survivors are his wife, Margaret; brothers, the Rev. Melvin Geffert of Mosinee, Wis., Harold Geffert of Crawfordsville, Ind.; sister, Mrs. Eleanore Shearing of New York.
