December 18, 2019
On Wednesday, December 18th, 2019, Helen, has risen to heaven. She was a special kind of person. Not only was she the glue that bonded the family together, she inspired everyone around her. She taught her family and all what is really important in life - to love, support and care for friends and family in your lives. Everyone that knew her are all better off for having known her. It was a great privilege to be her Son & Daughter. At this time, all services for Helen are private.
Her life story would make for a great work of fiction except it was real. She grew up in an orphanage after her stepmother and father abandoned her and her siblings. She was raised by Nuns and without the comfort of a home or the love of a parent. Despite this she overcame the adversity and became the Matriarch of a Family. She leaves behind her loving devoted husband Dan Sr., 2 children Dan Jr. (Erica), Tracy (Jimmy). 5 Grandchildren Lynsey (Joe), Amanda (John), James, Michelle (Alan) & Danielle and 4 Great Grandchildren Grace, Joey, Carver & Autumn, 2 Brothers Tom (Mali) & Butch (Jo Etta), and her little sister, Margaret, and her rescue dog "Coco”.
The Family would like to share the following poem. Author is unknown....
The Family Matriarch~
She is the chalk that draws the line
The sturdy rope, the ties that bind
The go-to when times are rough
The sweetness in the breath of love
She sets the rhythm of the day
She is the all in all she's made
And we, the gallery of her art
~The Family Matriarch~
She is the hope in all of us
The shinning light, the path of love
She is the strength from out the start
The very beat deep in the heart
And after all when all is said
Her children rise and call her blessed
Accepting life through joy and scars
~The Family Matriarch~
We pray heaven is everything you dreampt it to be. We pray you're free of pain and have met up with your loved ones. We pray you have heard every word we all have said by your bedside. We will love you forever! So be safe until we meet again.
Rest in peace.
