Donald John Flitcroft, Delavan (1927 - 2008)
December 30, 1927 - April 1, 2008 Donald John Flitcroft, 80, of 222 Delview Ave., Delavan, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn. He was born in Wisconsin on Dec. 30, 1927, a son of Benjamin and Clara (Blumenstein) Flitcroft. He married Delores Zastrow on May 22, 1948, and she preceded him in death on April 10, 1998. He was the Owner and Operator of Don Flitcroft Septic System until his retirement. He was a member at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elkhorn. He is survived by his daughter, Kathryn (Dan) Pyfer of Janesville; four sons: Daniel (Elizabeth) Flitcroft of Delavan, John (Bonnie) Flitcroft of Burlington, Michael (Jackie) Flitcroft of Delavan and Donald (Betty) Flitcroft of Elkhorn; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Joyce Thompson of California and Charlotte Keyzer of Elkhorn; two brothers, Warren (Carol) Flitcroft of Elkhorn and Lawrence (Belinda) Flitcroft of Delavan; also nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Delores; his son, Gary; and his two brothers. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, at the FIRST EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH in Elkhorn, with Rev. Kurt Grunewald officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the MONROE FUNERAL HOME in Delavan. Burial will be at the Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan. Memorials may be made to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elkhorn. MONROE FUNERAL HOME, Delavan, is assisting the family.
