Mrs. Link Dead
Mrs. Hannah Link, one of the old and well known residents of Bremen, died at 9 o’clock Tuesday night at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. C.H. Dietrich, on South Center street, where she had recently made her home. She had been in frail health for some time with ailments incident to her advanced age of almost eighty-two years, and her death was therefore not unexpected. The funeral will be held at the Dietrich residence tomorrow (Friday) morning at 10 o’clock, in charge of Rev. Schleucher of Salem Evangelical church, of which she was a member. Interment will be in the Bremen cemetery. Friends may view the remains up to the hour for the funeral.
Hannah Christine Poolnagle [sic] was born in Beaver township, Columbiana county, Ohio, July 19, 1829. She was married to John Link in Ohio March 18, 1849 and came to Indiana in 1861 fifty years ago. Si daughters were born to them, the eldest of whom died at the age of twenty one years. The five surviving their mother are Mrs. Jacob Carbiener, Mrs. Edward Heckaman, Mrs. C.H. Dietrich and Mrs. I.L.D. Seiler of Bremen and Mrs. William Lichtenberger of Culver. One sister here, Mrs. Morgan Fink, one sister in Kansas, two brothers in Ohio, seventeen grand children and nine great-grandchildren also survive her. Her husband, John Link, died Sept 24, 1873, at the age of forty-eight years.
