Obituary notes for Louis FINK
The Bremen Enquirer, 23 March 1905, page 5

Louis Fink was killed by a train at Los Angeles, Calif., last week. He was a son of Eli Fink, and was born in Bremen, leaving here however when quite young. For some years he had been a Pullman conductor running between El Paso and Los Angeles. A later report states that Fink committed suicide by shooting.

Los Angeles, Calif., papers, give details of the recent suicide in that city of Louis A. Fink, who has many relatives here. No motive for the act is known. He had seemed in unusually high spirits on the day of his death. He had been a dining car conductor on the Southern Pacific road for three years, and on arriving at Los Angeles he usually went to his hotel for a nap in the afternoon. On this day he went to his room as usual. Soon afterward a hotel employe was attracted to his room by a pistol shot and found him lying on the floor dead. He left no message.
