Mr. Johnson retired in 1990 from VanClor Chemical Company after 20 years. He was an avid bowler & golfer. He served in the US Army from 1946 to 1949. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; B. Leo Dolan Post 410 American Legion & the Lockport Eagles Club.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Nerber Johnson; a daughter, Elaine Turner of Depew, NY; 2 sons, William (Martha) Johnson of Lockport, NY & Roland (Tina) Johnson of Barker, NY; 9 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Albert (Gertrude) Johnson of Fillmore, NY & Duane (Patricia) Johnson of Lockport, NY; a sister, Ora (Howard) Hartz of Frost City, FL & several nieces & nephews.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. tonight and 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home in Lockport, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. William Hathaway officiating.
