Christopher Townsend Johnson died suddenly at his home in Olcott Friday morning September 11, 1936. He is survived by his father, Henry D. Johnson of Lockport, one brother, George W. Johnson of New Haven, Conn. Friends invited to call at Prudden Funeral Home, No. 242 Genesee street where funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon September 13th, at 2:30 o’clock. Burial in Glenwood cemetery.

Veteran Is Buried With Legion Rites
Funeral services for Christopher Townsend Johnson, 45, steward of the Alcott Yacht club, who died last Thursday at his home in Olcott of a heart attack, were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Prudden Funeral home, 242 Genesee street.
The Rev. Lawrence I. Seeley, pastor of the Free Methodist church, Park avenue, officiated, and burial was in Glenwood cemetery. Members of B. Leo Dolan post, 410, American Legion, had charge of the services at the grave, in which a firing squad and buglar from Ft. Niagara took part. Mr. Johnson was a World war veteran and member of the local post.
The bearers, all member of Dolan post, were Harold Henning, William Leyden, Thomas W. Callahan, Clyde Beebe, Van S. Bennett, Arthur Welsher, commander, Walter W. Haley and Joseph Wylam. The bearers wore the uniform of the American Legion.
