Obituary notes for Nettie J. RENKENBERGER
Mahoning Dispatch, Fri, 4 Mar 1927Mrs. Nettie Renkenberger Myers, 53, died at 5 o'clock last Sunday morning in Salem Clinic hospital, where she had been taken for care, of abscess on the brain, from which for some months she had been a patient sufferer. Deceased was born in East Lewistown Nov. 20, 1873, a daughter of William and Catherine Renkenberger, and in her native village was educated and grew to womanhood. She was married to P. F. Myers 33 years ago and came with her family to Canfield from Salem nearly a quarter of a century ago, here endearing herself to a wide circle of friends. She was an active member and worker in the local Methodist church, the W.D.T.U., and Parkview Rebekah lodge. Besides her husband she leaves two daughters and two sons, Mrs. C. R. Showalter of Middlepoint, O.; Mrs. Clarence Fink and Emmor Myers of Youngstown and Paul at home. Surviving brothers and sisters are, Charles Renkenberger of Salem, John of Cleveland, Mrs. Harry Hisey, Mrs. Walter Boyer, and Effie Renkenberger of Columbiana. Largely attended funeral services held from the M. E. Church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 were conducted by Rev. H. A. Cassidy, pastor of the church and interment was made in the village cemetery.
