Wife of Howard J. Hartz, she was born January 1, 1931 in Olcott, Niagara County, NY to Albert W. & Emma Ward Johnson. She was involved in Citizans Band Radio & enjoyed camping & traveling. Besides her husband, she is survived by 3 sons, Eugene (Cathy) Elson & James Elson both of Lockport, NY & Albert Elson of Newfane, NY; 3 step-daughters, Grace (Chuck) Roberts & Linda Mosure, both of Lockport, NY & Georgiana of Buffalo, NY; a step-son Jamie Hartz of Lockport, NY, a brother, Albert (Gert) Johnson of Fillmore, NY; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Orla Elson, who died in 1974; 3 brothers Eugene, Robert & Jerry Johnson; & a sister, Naomi Towne. She died in Sebring, Florida on September 30, 1999
