EVERETT L. LABAGH, 74, of Chester, formerly of Hackensack and Ridgewood, died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1988, he was an electronics engineer for Smith Industries, Caldwell, where he worked for 20 years. Previously, he worked for Bendix Corp., Teterboro, for 20 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member and elder of the First Reformed Church, Hackensack. He also was a member and past master of Masonic Fidelity Lodge 113, and a past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 39, both in Ridgewood. He was a member, grand recorder emeritus, and past grand commander of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of New Jersey. He also was a member and past president of the Bergen County and Northern Valley Coin Clubs. He was an adviser, youth leader, and deputy member of the International Supreme Council Order of De Molay For Young Men, Ridgewood. He received his bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering from Newark College of Engineering. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Fair Lawn.

OBITUARY
Everett L. Labagh, 74, of Chester, an electronics engineer for Smith Industries, died yesterday at home.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the First Reformed Church, 42 Court St., Hackensack. Arrangements are by the Vander Plaat Colonial Home Inc., Fair Lawn.
Mr. Labagh was employed by Smith Industries in Caldwell for 20 years before retiring in 1988. Earlier, he had worked for the Bendix Corp. in Teterboro for more than 20 years.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
In 1949, Mr. Labagh earned a bachelor's degree from Newark College of Engineering.
A past master of the Masonic Fidelity Lodge 113 of Ringwood, he was also a past grand commander of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar from 1988 through 1989. He retired as a grand recorder emeritus after serving nine years.
Mr. Labagh was a patron of the Order of the Eastern Star Ridgewood Chapter 39 and a member of the Valley of Northern New Jersey, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and Salaam Shrine Temple of Livingston.
A youth leader for 27 years, Mr. Labagh was a deputy member of the International Supreme Council, Order of De Molay for young men, as well as an advisor for its Ridgewood Chapter.
He was a member and past president of both the Bergen County Coin Club and the Northern Valley Coin Club, and an elder of the First Reformed Church of Hackensack.
Born in Hackensack, he lived there and Ridgewood before moving to Chester.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara M.; a son, Tom; a sister, Mrs. Virginia Fielding, and four grandchildren.
