Mrs. Sara Beardsley, 78, Ellsworth, died Sunday afternoon in the Salem City hospital, following a heart attack suffered about fourteen hours earlier. She had attended a family reunion in Canfield on Saturday. Born in New Wilmington, Pa., May 7, 1888, she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Prather, and had resided in Ellsworth township for 51 years. She was a member of the Ellsworth Presbyterian church and the church Missionary Society. On August 26, 1915, she was married to Earl H. Beardsley, who survives. She also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Orvan Carter of Salineville; a son, Cecil of Ellsworth; two sisters, Mrs. Miriam Archibald of East Palestine and Mrs. Mildred Henderson of New Castle, Pa.; a brother, Charles Prather of Warren, and two grandchildren. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Fred Cochran, were held Tuesday [20th] afternoon in the Ellsworth church, and interment made in the Ellsworth cemetery.
