DEATH OF MRS. PECKA
Mrs. Lydia Pecka, wife of Alonza Pecka, died at the Sister’s Hospital at 3:25 Saturday morning, Mr. and Mrs. Pecka have resided here for years, until about thirteen months ago when they went to Oakland, Calif. After a severe attack of pneumonia, the doctor advised them to return to Phoenix, but it was too late as Mrs. Pecka was taken ill some time after returning. Mrs. Pecka was loved by all who knew her and leaves a host of friends both here and in Evansville, Indiana where she was born and raised. A widowed mother and three brothers beside the husband and two beautiful children are left to mourn the loss of this Christian woman. Mrs. Sophia Kappler and her son Edward arrived in Phoenix last Sunday morning to be at the bedside of their dear one. The furneral will be held from Easterling & Whitney undertaking parlors at 9 o’clock Monday morning. Friends are invited.
