YAKIMA - Carl Robert (Bob) Danielson went to be with Jesus on Friday, October 14, 2011, at the age of 88. He was born on January 26, 1923, to Swedish emigrants Oscar and Edla Danielson. He was raised on a homestead west of Othello, Washington. He is survived by his wife June, sons Allan (Mary Kay), Dale (Debi), daughter Carolyn, his brother Luke (Fran), 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Bob is preceded in death by his father and mother, 4 brothers, Walter, George, Larry, and Herman, and a sister, Elsie Evans.

Bob was a WWII Army veteran in the Engineer Corps, serving in France and the Philippines. He worked in Glenwood for the J Neills Logging Co. and the school district. He met his bride Olivia June Schneidler in Glenwood and married on Valentine’s Day, 1949 in White Salmon. He worked for GE in Hanford as a Security guard and Operator from 1951-1968. He was employed by Washington State as a Driver's License Examiner/Supervisor from 1968 until retiring in 1988.

Bob learned to fly as a student pilot. He also had a love of Old Time Fiddling, steam trains, old cars, and almost anything that was an antique, as well as local history. He had a love of God and Country, was active in his church, a proud veteran, and a Patriotic citizen. Bob suffered Polio at age 29, but is now strolling and running with Jesus.

Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday October 18, 2011 at Noon in the West Valley Church of the Nazarene. Bob will be laid to rest in the Tahoma Cemetery with private services.
