Mrs. LLoyd-Smith Dies Saturday
Mrs. Hester Louise Lloyd-Smith 76, died Saturday at the Shemwell Nursing Home in Providence where she had been a patient for three weeks.
A Native of Patterson [sic], N.J., she was the widow of Wilfred Lloyd-Smith, who died 10 years ago. The family formerly resided in the Bordley community, later moving to Evansville where they lived for 20 years. Mrs. Lloyd-Smith returned here 10 years ago, and about six weeks ago suffered a broken hip in a fall at the home of her niece, Mrs. Bill Morgan.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church here with the Rev. James Erwin, pastor, in charge. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Daisey [sic] Moffitt, Morganfield RFD.
