OBITUARIES
JOHN H. HINDLE, 78, of Paterson died Friday.
Born in Paterson, he was a lifelong resident. He was a teacher at Central High School, Paterson. He also was a business professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University at the Rutherford and Teaneck campuses, retiring 20 years ago. He was a 1935 graduate of Montclair State College, and a graduate from Columbia Teachers College. Mr. Hindle was a former member of the Paterson Board of Education and also Paterson Board of Library Trustees. Mr. Hindle was a parishioner of St. Theresa's R.C. Church, Paterson. He was a World War II Air Force veteran.
His wife, Clare Murphy Hindle, died in 1991.
Services are 9:30 a.m. Monday at Scillien Funeral Home, 351 Fifth Ave. at east 23rd St., Paterson.

JOHN H. HINDLE, 78, of Paterson died Friday. Before retiring 20 years ago, he was a business professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford and Teaneck, and had been a teacher at Central High School, Paterson. He had served on the Paterson Board of Education and Board of Library Trustees. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a parishioner of St. Theresa R.C. Church, Paterson. He was a 1935 graduate of Montclair State College and received his doctorate in education from Columbia Teachers College. Surviving are two nieces. His wife, Clare Murphy Hindle, died last year. Services will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Scillieri Funeral Home, Paterson, with burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Visiting will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
