Couple Return From Southern Honeymoon
Miss Doris Ann Kemper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kemper of Holland was married to Byron Libbert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Libbert of Dale, on Saturday, September 28, at 6:30 p.m. in the Zoar Methodist Church. The officiating minister was Rev. Wayland Siders, pastor of the church. The altar was decorated with baskets of yellow and white gladioli and mums, and flanked with palms and lighted candles.
The bride wore a floor-length dress of Chantilly lace and peau de soie, accented at the scalloped neckline with sequins and seed pearls. Her fingertip veil of silk illusion was attached to a lace-backed crown of seed pearls, and she carried a bouquet of white rose buds encircled with white and blue net and bits of fern.
Mrs. Fern Trummel, the bride’s sister, was matron of honor, and Miss Donna Libbert, the bridegroom’s sister, was bridesmaid. Both wore ice blue brocade dresses with matching crowns and small face veils. They carried bouquets of yellow mums.
Sandra Oxley, a cousin of the bride, was the flower girl and she was dressed the same as the other attendants.
Leon Libbert, the bridegroom’s brother, was best man, and Bill Bartelt, a cousin, was groomsman. Dean Trummel and Ronnie Libbert seated the guests.
For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Kemper chose a royal blue dress with black accessories and wore a corsage of white roses. The mother of the bridegroom wore a beige dress with brown accessories. Her corsage was of bronze roses.
After a reception in the church, the couple left for a wedding trip in the south. They are now making their home at Dale where the bridegroom its associated with his father in the plumbing and heating business. The bride is a beauty operator and is employed at Amy’s Beauty Shop in Huntingburg.
