Notes for Johannes DE GRAW
Johannes grew to manhood in Tappan and it was here that he met and married Rachel. The family lived in Tappan when their first ten children were born. Their last two children were born in Clarkstown (Rockland) NY. During the Revolutionary War four of their sons, Cornelius, William, John and Lucas served in the conflict. Last mention of Johannes and Rachel was at the baptism of a grandchild on 7 June 1781.
