Mrs. Eliza HANS, wife of Oscar Hans, died at her home at South Bend, on Monday morning, March 18th, 1901, after an illness of one week. The cause of death was a complication of diseases. She was 39 years old on the 11th day of last January, and until her marriage, sixteen years ago had resided in Bremen. The remains were brought to Bremen Wednesday morning accompanied by a sorrowing husband and a number of relatives and friends, and were taken to the home of her sister, Mrs. Michael Wahl, on East street, where private funeral services were held at three o'clock on Thursday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. L. O. Talmage, pastor of the Congregational church. The deceased was a woman who was popular with all her acquaintances and a member of the First Christian church, of South Bend. A husband, three brothers and three sisters besides a large circle of friends are left to mourn her early departure. The remains were laid to rest in the Bremen cemetery, brief services were also held at the grave.
