Death Claims Mrs. Land, Stroudsburg
Mrs. Edith E. Land, 61, of 426 Main St., Stroudsburg, died Saturday at 6 p.m. in the Monroe County General Hospital.
She was born in Bangor and was the daughter of the late William and Susan Shook Dower.
Mrs. Land was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her husband, James W. Land; three sons, Elwood Norris, San Lorenzo, Calif., Nelson Norris, East Stroudsburg, and Bruce Land, Harrisburg; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Adams, East Stroudsburg and Miss Sharon Land, at home; one brother Harold Dower, Stroudsburg; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the William R. Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Roger C. Stimson officiating.
Interment will be in the Laurelwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the William R. Thomas Funeral Home Tuesday after 7 p.m.
