MRS. JASPER ADAMS, 41, E. STROUDSBURG, LEFT EYES TO 'BANK'
Mrs. Gladys E. Adams, 41, of 474 Normal St., East Stroudsburg, wife of Jasper Adams, died at 12:20 p.m. Saturday in Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, PA. She had been ill for two weeks.

Mrs. Adams, a lifelong resident of the Stroudsburgs, donated her eyes to the Northeast Pennsylvania Lions Eye Bank, Inc. The eyes were taken to the Wills Hospital, Philadelphia.

Mrs. Adams was a daughter of the late James and Edith Dower Norris. She was a member of the Stroudsburg Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, William, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Jean Singer, Mrs. Joan Tuthill and Mrs. Elvene Kresge, all of Stroudsburg, and Miss Shirley Adams, Rockaway, N.J.; two brothers, Elwood Norris, San Lorenzo, Calif., and Nelson Norris, East Stroudsburg; one step-brother, Bruce Land, Harrisburg; one step-sister, Miss Sharon Land, Stroudsburg, and one grandchild.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the William R. Thomas Funeral Home, Stroudsburg.

Mrs. Gladys E. Adams , 41, of 474 Normal St., East Stroudsburg, died Saturday at 12:20 p.m. in Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton.

She was born in Stroudsburg and was the daughter of the late James and Edith Dower Norris.

Mrs. Adams was a member of the Stroudsburg Methodist Church and had been a resident of Stroudsburg her lifetime.

She is survived by her husband, Jasper Adams, one son, William Adams, at home: four daughters, Miss Shirley Adams, Rockaway N.J.; Mrs. Jean Singer, Mrs. Jean Tuthill and Mrs. Elvene Kresge, all of Stroudburg; one grandchild.

Two brothers, Norris Adams, San Lorenzo, Calif; and Nelson Norris, East Stroudsburg; one step-brother, Bruce Land, Harrisburg; and one step-sister, Miss Sharon Land, Stroudsburg.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the William R. Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Roger C. Stimson officiating.

Interment will be in the Stroudsburg Cemetery.

Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Monday after 7 p.m.
