John Garvelink Dies at Age 64
John N. Garvelink, 64, of 1144 West 32nd St., died Tuesday evening at Holland Hospital following a heart attack.
Mr. Garvelink was born in Holland and had lived here all his life. He was employed at Hart and Cooley Manufacturing Co. where he had been a press operator for the past 35 years. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and was a member of the church vestry for many years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of the Holland Lodge No. 1315 BPOE.
Surviving are the wife, Jane A.; one sister, Mrs. Carson (Ella) Niefert of Lansing; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. William Garvelink and Mrs. Cornelius Garvelink both of Holland; several nieces and nephews; and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Earl Dominy, who made her home with the Garvelinks.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. Robert A. Winter officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home cemetery.
Relatives and friends may meet the family at the Dykstra Funeral Chapel tonight and Thursday from 7 to 9.
