HUNTINGBURG -- Victor A. Egbert, 92, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at Deaconess St. Joseph's Hospital.

He was a retired pattern maker and was a World War II Navy veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Vera V.; and one son, John S.

Services 10 a.m. EST Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntingburg, burial in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, with a prayer service at 6 p.m.

Victor A. Egbert, 92, Huntingburg, died at 5:42 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Huntingburg.

He was born at Stendal Dec. 13, 1910, to Christian and Carried (Stark [sic]) Egbert.

Surviving are his wife, the former Vera V. Jerger, and a son, John S. Egbert, Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Ronald Egbert.

Mr. Egbert was a retired pattern maker and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntingburg and Huntingburg Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2366. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntingburg. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Jasper. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Nass and Son Funeral Home, Huntingburg. The parish will hold a vigil service at 6 p.m.
