Warwick-McElhose
A pretty wedding was solemnized Thursday evening, Oct. 9, 1902, at the house of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Warwick when their youngest daughter, Miss Adelaide, was united in marriage with Mr. Charles McElhose of St. Louis, Rev. G.F. Meade officiating. The pleasant rooms were tastefully decorated with flowers, a bank of green forming a background for the altar.
The bride was a picture of loveliness in her white silk bridal robes adorned with white roses. Miss Celia Hausam as bridesmaid wore pink batiste and pink roses. Mr. Alfred Chidley was groomsman and four charming young nieces of the bride, Bernice, Ethel and Ora Allison and Winifred Pickens, daintily dressed, two in blue and two in pink acted as flower girls. Mrs. Best played the wedding march. Among the guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Jas. McElhose and family, Frank Bleimehl and wife of Chicago, Henry Weinrich and wife, Lester Allison and family, Mrs. Frieze, Harry Gammon? and Miss Hughes of Austin, John Picken and family, Dr. and Mrs. J.E. Best, Mr. and Mrs. L.G. Heim?, Alfred Chidley and Misses Hawks, Taylor, Hausam, Peter, Cooley and Stangor. Both bride and groom were born and reared here, and the best wishes of a host of friends go with them to their future home in St. Louis.
