Mrs. McElhose Dies in East; Remains Brought for Burial
Mrs. Minnie McElhose, wife of Mr. Henry McElhose, of Ilion, New York, died Thursday afternoon, Dec. 29, The remains were brought to Arlington Heights Sunday and the funeral held that afternoon in … Lauterburg & Oehler chapel on …bell street.
The deceased was a daughter of Peter Bleimehl, of Deerfield, Ill. Following her marriage in 1890, Mr. and Mrs. McElhose made their home in Arlington Heights for two years, after which they moved to St. Louis and from there to Jamestown, N.Y., and later to Ilion. Mr. and Mrs. McElhose have been frequent visitors in Arlington Heights, their last visit here being last summer. Mrs. McElhose has had trouble with her heart at times but was able to enjoy Christmas dinner with her son, Irving. She was not able to rise from her bed since that day.
The remains were accompanied here by her husband and Mr. and Mrs. Irving McElhose.
The funeral services were in charge of Rev. Billman, pastor of Arlington Heights Methodist church.
Mrs. McElhose was born in Deerfield, Ill. Aug. 20, 1870. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband and one son, Irving, and two grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Marie Bleimehl of Chicago and Mrs. Anna Snyder, Ridder La., and five brothers, Edward and Fred of Deerfield; Peter and Frank of Chicago and Charles of Arlington Heights.
