William F. Henk of Des Plaines, beloved husband of the late Irene, nee Hoeft; dear father of Shirley [Leon] Rainbolt, William [Doris] and James Henk; one granddaughter; fond brother of Marvin Henk. William F. Henk, 45, a long time resident of Des Plaines, died Monday in Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge, after a short illness.
An employe for the City of Des Plaines Street Department, he was a veteran of World War II, U.S. Army. Mr. Henk was born in Des Plaines on May 20, 1927.
Visitation is tomorrow from 2 to 10 p.m. in Oehler Funeral Home, Lee and Perry streets, Des Plaines, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday.
The Rev. R.K. Wobbe of Christ church, Des Plaines, will be officiating. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Preceded in death by his wife, Irene, nee Hoeft, in December 1972, survivors include two sons, William and daughter-in-law Doris Henk of Streamwood, and James of Des Plaines; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley (Leon) Rainbolt of Northlake; one grandchild and a brother, Marvin Henk of Fremont, Calif.
