The Bremen Enquirer, 3 October 1912 (Thu), page 1

Mrs. Anna Vollnagle, widow of the late Daniel Vollnagle, died Friday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marietta Hans, in Bremen after an illness of only a week of a complication of ailments added to the weakness incident to age. The funeral was held at the residence Sunday afternoon, Rev. Ballmer preaching the sermon and was followed by interment in the Bremen cemetery.

Anna Weaver was born in Mahoning county, Ohio, Nov. 24, 1834, making her age 77 years, 10 months and 3 days. She was united in marriage to Daniel Vollnagle in Pennsylvania Aug. 21, 1856, shortly after which they came to Indiana. About fifty years ago they settled on a farm near Bremen and thirty-nine years ago moved to town, where she has since resided. Mr. Vollnagle died March 24, 1910. Two sons and three daughters were born to them. One daughter died in infancy and a grown son, Henry died some seven years ago. Another daughter, Mrs. Eliza Van Skyhawk, died only four weeks ago. The remaining children are Mrs. Marietta Hans and Joseph Vollnagle, both of Bremen. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Catherine Mentser of Youngstown, Ohio; two brother, Solomon Weaver of near Bremen and Jonathan Weaver of Newton, Kansas; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, besides a number of less near relatives.
