Obituary notes for Margaret RISKO
Margaret R. "Margo" Detre, 90 of Southington, died Saturday morning, March 21, 2015, at Laurie Ann Nursing Home in Newton Falls. She was born July 19, 1924 in Newton Falls, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Helen Levko Risko. She had been a lifetime Trumbull county resident.

Margo was a 1942 graduate of Newton Falls High School. She worked for a brief time at Packard Electric, but was a homemaker all of her married life. She had attended Southington Christian Church, was a member of the Southington Herb and Garden Club, the Southington Garden Forum and the Airstream Club with her husband, George and they enjoyed traveling together.

Starting as a child, she was an avid and well read reader and especially enjoyed mystery novels and movies. Her family was most important to her and she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Margo was also a very competitive bingo player.

She is survived by two sons, John M. (Carlotta) Detre of Hodgenville, Kentucky and David G. (Joanne) Detre of Newton Falls; four grandchildren, Dr. Joshua (Dana) Detre, Jason (Natalie) Detre, Sara (Joe) Green and Matthew Garrett; six great grandchildren, Angel Beighley, Caden Detre, Ella Grace Detre, John Abram, Emily Jo Detre and Jace Daniel Detre and two sisters, Pauline Tate of Toledo and Rose (Frank) Popp of Johnstown, Pa.

Her husband, George Elen Detre, whom she married May 23, 1947 preceded her in death in 1990. Three brothers, John, Nicholas and Michael Risko and three sisters, Mary Kuzma, Helen Little and Anne Nelson all have also preceded in death.

Burial will be at Southington Reformed Cemetery.
