Leo P. Berger
Leo P. Berger, 81, a former Bremen resident, died unexpectedly at 6:00 o’clock Friday evening, August 20, at his home in Mesa, Arizona. He was a retired farmer and moved to Mesa from Bremen eight years ago.
Mr. Berger was born Oct. 5, 1883 in Marshall county and was married in 1905 to Maude I. Weston, who died in 1947.
He is survived by one son, Kermit of Mesa, Ariz.; one daughter, Mrs. George Plummer of South Bend; three sisters, Mrs. Edward Stackhouse, Mrs. Oscar BonDurant, and Miss Armata Berger of Bremen; and one brother, Clinton of Oak Park, Ill. There are nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock in Salem Evangelical United Brethren church, where Mr. Berger was once a member. Rev. T.W. Snider, pastor of the church, officiated in the services and burial was in the Bremen cemetery.
