Sue A. Mace, 87, of Carmel passed away Dec. 9, 2009.  Born Aug. 19, 1922 in Bremen, Ind., she was the daughter of Harold and Hermina Holderman.

She was a long time member of Carmel United Methodist Church and worked at Carmel City Court. 

Survivors include sons, James E. Mace, III and Jerry Mace; daughters, Judy Mace and Jean O'Brien; sister, Jeanette Johnson; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by husband, James E. Mace, Jr.; daughter, Jenni Lou Mace; son, Jay Harold Mace; and daughter-in-law, Lorraine T. Mace. 

Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Leppert Mortuary, Smith Carmel Chapel, 900 N. Rangeline Road in Carmel. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
