FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. Virginia DeSchepper Maturo, 76, of S.W. 12th Court, formerly of New Haven, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 1995, at Broward General Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Rocco P. Maturo.

She had lived in Florida since 1983, when she retired from the Mary Wade Home, New Haven.

While in New Haven she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Foxon Congregational Church.

Daughter of the late William E. DeSchepper and Fanny Norris DeSchepper, she was born in New Haven May 22, 1919.

Besides her husband, she leaves six sons, Alfred Maturo of Guilford, Conn., Edward Maturo of New Haven, Thomas Maturo of Fort Lauderdale, William Maturo of Cheshire, Conn., Robert Maturo of East Haven, Conn., and Peter Maturo of Branford, Conn; four brothers, Raymond Locke of Olmstead Falls, Ohio’ Ernest and Robert
Locke, both of New Haven; and Warren Locke of Prospect, Conn.; a sister, Eunice Hahn of North Haven, Conn.; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Locke; and a sister, Mary Szirbik.

The All County Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.

Virginia Maturo, 76, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., mother of William Maturo of Cheshire, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 1995 at Broward General Hospital in Florida. She was the wife of Rocco P. Maturo.

Mrs. Maturo had lived in Florida since 1983, when she retired from the Mary Wade Home, New Haven. While in New Haven, she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Foxon Congregational Church.

She was born in New Haven on May 22, 1919, daughter of the late William E. and Fanny Norris DeSchepper.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the First Congregational Church in Cheshire. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
