Eleanor Jane Ferington, 86, of Lynchburg, died Thursday, January 29, 2015. She was the wife of the late Wesley George Ferington Sr. Born Sunday, November 4, 1928, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., Eleanor was a daughter of the late Adorno Johnson and the late Myrtle Ford Johnson. Eleanor is survived by a daughter, Ruth Wymer and her husband, Todd, of Lynchburg; a son, David Ferington and his wife Nancy, of Rochester, New York. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by a son, Wesley George Ferington Jr.She was a graduate of the University of Buffalo and was a high school math teacher for many years.A memorial service will be held at a later date.The family would like to thank Carol Jennings, Tina Scott, Laura Watlington, Marie Coles, and Linda Reynolds for the outstanding care they provided to her.
