William L. Madden, 64, Huntingburg
William L. “Bill” Madden, 64, Huntingburg, died of cancer at 8:49 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 1994, at his home.
He was born in Grayville, Ill., Dec. 17, 1929, to Dr. St. Clair and Fern Madden. He married Joan Stork Sept. 2, 1960, in the Eastside Christian Church in Evansville.
Surviving are his wife, Joan; three sons, Timothy Madden of Glenmont, N.Y., Michael Madden of Anchorage, Alaska, and David Madden of Huntingburg; a brother, Jim Spafford of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Herman (Martha) Kriepke of Evansville; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Madden, and a sister, Doris Hemmingsen.
Mr. Madden retired as director of laboratory services at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Huntingburg in 1991. He was former operations manager at Mid-America Pathology Service in Evansville; former coordinator and teacher of the MLT Program at the University of Kentucky-Henderson Community College in Henderson, Ky.; former chief technologist for F.L. Kiechle, MD, of Evansville; and former chief technologist at Wabash General Hospital in Mount Carmel, Ill.
He was a member of Bethel Temple in Evansville.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.
