Obituary notes for Edwin Earl HEIDENREICH

E.E. Heidenreich

Edwin E. Heidenreich, 81, member of a pioneer Washoe Valley ranching family, died Saturday in his residence at 3340 Esmeralda Drive, New Washoe City.
A Native of Franktown, Nev., he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Heidenreich. A life-long resident of Nevada, he also owned and operated a ranch in Dayton from 1920 to 1948 and then returned to the Washoe Valley area before moving to Reno in 1952. He returned finally to make his home in the valley in 1966.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 106, Carson City.
Surviving are: his wife, Babs, of New Washoe City; brothers, Roy, of Reno, and Henry, of Washoe Valley; sisters, Lillie Sanger, of Carson City, Martha Cliff and Frances Honey, both of Reno; two nieces, a nephew and several great-nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Ross-Burke and Knobel Mortuary. The Rev. R. Orman Roberts, and the Carson City Eagles Lodge will officiate.
Burial will be in the family plot at Mountain View Cemetery.

A pretty little home wedding took place 12 a. m., Dec. 31, 1913, when Edwin Heidenrich of Washoe City, Nev., and Mabel C. Donnelly of Carson City, were united in holy wedlock by Rev. Paul Ross of Sparks. At the home of the bride’s uncle, E.B. Coffin. 231 W. Fifth street, Reno. The bride looked charming in simple white, and was attended by her cousin, Thelma Coffin as bridesmaid, who wore a dainty pink. Joe Heidenreich, a brother of the groom, acted as best man.
The bride and groom were born and reared in Nevada and will make their home at Washoe City. They are very popular among their many friends and were the recipient of many beautiful gifts. Only the immediate relatives of the couple were present and included:

Edwin Heidenreich and wife went to their home at Franktown this morning. They were married last night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E.B. Coffin by Rev. Paul L. Ross of the Sparks Methodist church. Mrs. Heidenreich was Mrs. Mabel Donnelly.

Informal Ceremony Unites Couple in Marriage

Married Sunday, May 23 at an informal rite in the First Methodist Church were the former Miss Barbara Owens and Edwin Heidenreich with the Rev. Stephen C. Thomas the 4:30 p.m. ceremony.

Frank White presided at the organ, playing an appropriate prelude of wedding selections as the guests were seated and the guests were seated and the traditional wedding marches.

The bride was lovely in a smartly styled spring wool frock in navy tone, designed princess style. With it she wore pink accessories and a corsage of white orchids.

Standing with the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Williams, Mr. Williams being a nephew of the bridegroom.

Following he ceremony, a buffet supper was served in the Del Monte Lane home of the newlyweds.

An all-white decorative theme prevailed and participating were Messrs. and Mesdames Arnold Page, Cliff Andrews, Andy Gluiglieri, Jack Whitehead, Roland Giroux, David McMullen, Joseph Williams, Ben Milward, Edwin Heidenreich, Mrs. Lillian Andrews and Misses Mary Milward and Maud Davis.

Later that evening, Mr. and Mrs. Heidenreich left for Lake Tahoe where they will spend a week at the Biltmore Hotel. Upon their return they will be at home to their friends in their Del Monte Lane home.
