Will Kornmeyer Funeral Thursday
Well Known Reno Business Man Succumbs After Appendix Attack
Funeral services for the late William E. Kornmeyer of the national meat market, who died in Reno yesterday morning, will take place tomorrow, with Washoe lodge, No. 36, F. & A.M. of which he was a member officiating.
The death of Mr. Kornmeyer at the age of 42 was the result of an acute attack of appendicitis. He had been ill but a few days.
Born at Oakdale, Cal., in 1884, Mr. Kornmeyer came to Nevada when his parents settled at Washoe City in 1890. Later they moved to Reno, where he attended the Reno schools and later became a member of the famed Reno Wheelmen’s club.
During recent years he had been affiliated with his brothers, George and Frank Kornmayer, in the management of a meat store and was widely and favorable known throughout the city.
His mother, Mrs. Mary Kornmayer, survives, with the two brothers.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Kornmeyer home, 221 West Third street, tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.
