By Ex-Mayor and Mrs. Lafontaine
Prominent among the social functions of the busy week was the dinner presided over on Wednesday evening by Ex-Mayor Robert N. LaFontaine and Mrs. LaFontaine at their beautiful new home north of the state house.

The affair marked was, in fact, a re-union of all branches of the families of both host and hostess, and was noted by the absence of but one member of the host’s family, Bert LaFontaine, brother who is in California, and was unable to attend the gathering. The menu was served at 6:30 o’clock at two large tables, one spread in the dining room and the second occupying a place in the living room. Blooming primroses and cyclamen were employed for the adornment of the attractively arranged tables. Covers were placed for twenty-three, all relatives except one, Mrs. A. G. McGregor, a lifelong friend of both the Bradley and Lafontaine families.

Following the dinner, rugs were rolled back and informal dancing was enjoyed until a late hour.

Present as guests of Mr. and Mrs. LaFontaine were Mrs. Mary E. Lafontaine [sic], mother of the host, Mrs. A.G. McGregor, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Bradley, Walter Bradley, Walter Bradley, Jr. and Tom Bradley, brother and nephew of the hostess, Miss Florrie Bradley and Walter Bradley, son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Bradley, Captain E.W. Leard and Mrs. Leard of Porto [sic] Rico, Mr. and Mrs. Halsey C. Marchant, Miss Virginia and Robert Marchant of Ogden, Utah, Mr. and Mrs. G. M. King, Miss Mabel Lafontaine, Louis LaFontaine, Mr. and Mrs. R.S. Van Tassel, Joseph Reed, and Miss Margaret LaFontaine, the young daughter of the hosts. Mrs. Walter Bradley and two young sons are at present in Long Beach, California and they included among the absentees.
