In case of death of son, grandson Isaac H. Van Houten

I, Johanna Van Houten of the County of Marion, in the State of Indiana, do make and publish this my last will and Testament, revoking all others heretofore made by me, and as to such personal and Real property as it has pleased the Almighty to bless me with, I give and bequeath in the following manner, after the payment of my funeral expenses and my just debts.

1st. I give and bequeath to my granddaughters Johanna and Isabella Van Houten the undivided one half of my Real and personal property to be equally divided between them.

2nd. I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Amanda E. Graham the sum of fifty dollars.

3rd. If either the said Johanna or Isabella shall die without issue, the real and personal property descending to either of them, shall descend to my other grandchild or children as my Executor shall select and apportioned among them as he sees proper, and I hereby declare, by this my last will that the bequest herein set forth shall not take effect and be inforced until my Executor shall see proper.

4th. I hereby appoint my son Cornelius Van Houten my executor of this my last will and Testament to take upon himself the duties of the trust imposed upon him by me and that he may do the same without having to file a bond therefore as is provided by the laws of the State of Indiana and I do declare that I give by this my last will, power to my Executor to sell or exchange or Mortgage all of my REal and personal property for the benefit of my heirs whenever he may deem it necessary for the benefit of my heirs whenever he may deem it necessary for the benefit of their Estate. And as to the other half of my real and personal property, not heretobefore bequeathed, shall remain in the hands of my to be disposed of by him to either of my heirs as he sees proper by the said Cornelius Van Houten begotten.

5th. In case of the death of said Cornelius, I hereby appoint my grandson Isaac. H. Van Houten my Executor of this my last will to take upon himself said trust without filing a bond as provided by the law of the State of Indiana.
