Recent Wedding of Couple Announced
Of interest to Reno friends is announcement of the recent wedding of Miss Donna Rose Erbes of San Francisco and Lieut. Wilfred Burnette Newman of the army air forces.
The ceremony was solemnized in Miami, Fla., on November 11.
The young bridegroom has since been transferred to Valley Forge military school at Fort Wayne, Pa., where the couple is residing at present.
Mrs. Newman is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip A. Erbes of San Francisco and the niece of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Heidtman, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Becker, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Rosa Becker, all widely known residents of this community.
She is also the niece of Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Becker and Mrs. and Mrs. J.W. Davey of San Francisco and her engagement to Lieutenant Newman was announced last July by Mrs. J.W. Davey who entertained with a large bride tea at the Palace hotel.
A graduate of the University of California she is a member of Delta Zeta sorority. Following graduation she did post-graduate work at Stanford university.
Her bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Burnette Newman and attended the University of California at Berkeley before entering the service.
