Avanell Williams
PAXTON – Avanell Drinkwalter Williams, 76, of Mahomet, formerly of Paxton, died at 2:15 a.m. yesterday (May 20, 1989) at Mercy Hospital, Urbana.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Naugle Funeral Home, Paxton, the Rev. Keith Zimmerman officiating. Burial will e in Maplewood Cemetery, Rantoul.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 25, 1912, at Dillsburg, a daughter of John W. And Effie Dover Hilt. She married Delbert Drinkwalter May 9, 1938 in Williamsport, Ind. He died July 12, 1976. She later married Wiley Williams Nov. 26, 1977 in Paxton. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, John Drinkwalter, Mahomet; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter.
Mrs. Williams operated restaurants in Fisher and Rantoul.
She was a member of the Mahomet Methodist Church and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
