Evelyn C. Stemaly, 92, of Newburgh, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, at the Newburgh Healthcare Center.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and former member of the Daughters of Isabella, Marian Day School Auxiliary, Little Sisters of the Poor Auxiliary, Epworth Home Economic Club and the Goodwill Auxiliary.
Surviving are a daughter, Norma Sims of Evansville; a son, Larry of Evansville; four grandchildren, Donna Thornburgh, Rick Sims, Jeff Stemaly and Robin Van Hoy; and four great-grandchildren.
Her husband, John A., died in 1970.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, continuing at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Monsignor Maurilius Bilskie officiating, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with memorial services at 4 p.m. with the Daughters of Isabella and at 4:30 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Ziliak.
Memorial contributions may be made to Marian Day School.
