SAVANNAH - Martha Chase Ball , 71, a former accountant with Ball 's Tax Service, died Sunday at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Islands Presbyterian Church on Talahi Island, Ga., according to Baker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ball was born in Schenevus, N.Y., a daughter of Sawyer T. Chase and Grace Hyde Chase. She was a graduate of Central City Business School in Syracuse, N.Y. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Elks Lodge and the Georgia Public Accountants. She was a member of White Bluff United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, William D. Ball ; two sons, William D. Ball Jr. of Montrose, Colo., and Daniel R. Ball of Eden, Ga.; three daughters, Jacqueline B. Boyd of Charleston and Davetta B. Moore and Jennifer B. Clonts, both of Savannah; two brothers, Sawyer T. Chase Jr. of Westwood, N.J., and Lowell Chase of Flagstaff, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren.
