Roscoe Willard Dies Here Today
Roscoe (Whitey) Allen Willard, 66, died this morning at the residence, 510 West First Street. He was a veteron [sic] of World War I.
Mr. Willard was born June 29, 1890, in Greenbrier, Tenn., the son of Monroe and May Hogan Willard. He was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include three children, Charles Willard of Anderson, Indiana, Mrs. Mary Appleby of Antioch and Robert Willard of Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Bradbury of Mount Carmel and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Roy D. Short Company Memorial Chapel with the Rev. J.J. Gough officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery.
The American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars will attend in a group and will have charge of the military rites at the grave.
