Notes for David ACKERMAN
This immigrant ancestor was among those who sailed from Amsterdam 2 September 1662 to England, proceeding to New Amsterdam and arrived 14 November 1662 on the ship “DeVos” (The Fox). He came from the Village of Berlicum, accompanied by wife and 6 children ages 20, 18, 12, 8, and 6. It. is inferred that he did not survive the voyage because there are no further records, and his wife, Lysbeth was summoned to appear before the orphan master in 1663.
