Lysbeth was the daughter of Jean BELLIER and Catherine HERQUE. After David’s death, to make money for her family she sometimes sold some beer and food out of her home and traded beaver pelts for money. She was resourceful and hard working and was helped by friends and neighbors.
After Lysbeth remarried she and her boys moved to Harlem to her new husband’s farm. Abraham was then old enough (12 yrs old) to help on the farm. She died just a couple of months later.
