Former Store Owner is Dead at Huntingburg
Mrs. Sarah Landgrebe, 82, of Huntingburg, died at 9:40 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph’s Hospital.
She formerly operated a department store on Fourth Street in the building presently occupied by Sylvester’s Clothing & Shoes. She was the widow of Albert Landgrebe.
Mrs. Landgrebe was born at Stendal on Dec. 17, 1894, to Dr. John H. Stork and Wilhelmina (Patberg) Stork.
Surviving are two sons, John of Lexington, Ky., and David of West Lafayette, and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Mary Martin, Mrs. Carrie Egbert and a sister who died in infancy; and a brother, Dr. H.K. Stork, whose widow died Monday evening at Huntingburg.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Nass and Son Funeral Home.
