Huntingburg Physician Dies

Funeral services for Dr. J.H. Stork, 66, who died suddenly at Huntingburg Friday morning, were held at Salem’s church Sunday afternoon with burial in Fairmount cemetery.

Dr. Stork was stricken with a stroke of apoplexy while in the Model pharmacy, operated by his son, Dr. H.K. Stork. Several years ago the physician suffered a similar stroke and his health had failed gradually since that time.

Born and reared in Pike county, Dr. Stork was graduated from the Louisville Medical college and for 38 years practiced medicine, all of which time he was located at Stendal in Pike county. In 1916 he removed to Huntingburg with his family where he purchased the Model Pharmacy, selling out to his son a year ago.

Surviving are the widow, formerly Miss Minnie Patberg of Stendal, and four children: Dr. H.K. Stork, Mrs. Al Landgrebe and Mrs. Chris Egbert, all of Huntingburg, and Mrs. Arthur Martin of Petersburg. Four sisters and one brother and five grandchildren also survive.
